Students can now apply for the Pink Ribbon Bowl Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who have had a parent impacted by breast cancer. The deadline to apply is September 29th. For more information and application, see Mr. Jackson in the Guidance Office.

The Chamber of Commerce Leadership students are sponsoring a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. STARS in the Valley, a teacher superlative show will be held on Sept. 12 during Activity period. Cost is $2.00 and tickets will go on sale today. Students will come around during CCRT to sell tickets, you can purchase them during lunch, or purchase them in Guidance. Help support Habitat for Humanity and help Walker Valley raise the most money.

Hey Drama Club members! Would you like to be a princess? How about a cowpea? The Charleston Cowpea Festival needs volunteers and has asked us to help. If you can volunteer an hour or two at the festival on September 13, please see Mrs. Wright in CL3 as soon as possible!
Any student that would like to obtain service hours for Tennessee Scholars or Circle of Champions may do so on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Cowpea Festival. You can check the board outside of Guidance for the phone number to call or stop by Guidance for more information.
Attention 10th and 11th grade students. The PSAT will be given on October 15. If you are interested in taking the test, the cost is $15.00 and you will need to sign up (with payment) in the Guidance office by Sept. 17. First block teachers should have more information posted in their classroom if you are interested or you may stop by Guidance to see Ms. McClanahan or Mrs. Akiona.
