Today’s Annoucements – September 17, 2014


Students can now apply for the Pink Ribbon Bowl Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who have had a parent impacted by breast cancer. The deadline to apply is September 29th.  For more information and application, see Mr. Jackson in the Guidance Office.

There are class ring information packets in the main office for any 11th grader who missed the meeting or any 12 graders who would still like to order a class ring.

Creative writing club will have its first meeting on Tuesday from 3:30-4:30.

If you are interested in joining the Art Club, see Mrs. Russell in FA109 to sign up by Friday Sept. 26

Homecoming events start Monday night with a Dodgeball tournament. The registration fee is $10 per team, the winning team will take home a $50 prize. See Ms. Pickens or the table in the cafeteria to register by this Friday!

The new WV ‘Cover2Cover’ Book Club will be meeting in the media center Monday, September 22 during CCRT.  Please come by the media center and get a pass if you are interested.

-Students, Council Baptist Church is looking for students to help with a community picnic on Sunday, September 28 at 5:00pm.  If you are looking for service hours, come sign up in the main office.

The New Spill App is now available for both iPhone and Android.  Search WVHS in the App Store.  School Calendars, Live Spill broadcasts including WVHS Football games, School Announcements, and more are available in one place…The Spill App.

Students if you need service hours, Charleston Elementary is having their Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27.  They will need help.  If you are interested, please stop by Guidance.

Pink Ribbon Bowl t-shirts are on sale now in MCLA3, Ms. Brady’s room, and in the cafeteria during lunch.  Short sleeve are $10 and long sleeve are $15.  Shirts are available in both Navy and Pink.  Get yours today!
