North Lee Elementary needs volunteers for their Ram Jam, October 24th from 4-9 p.m.  If you can help out, please come and signup in the Media Center.

UTC is hosting a Fall Visit Day on Saturday, November 1 from 9:30am-2:00pm.  If you are interested in hearing more about UTC and touring the campus, register on-line at www.utc.edu.

The Junior Civitan club is collecting soft drink tabs to support our local Ronald McDonald House at Chattanooga.  There is a collection can in the main office.  Please help us support families of children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Attention Seniors, UTC is hosting a Fall Visit Day Saturday, November 1 from 9:30am-2:00pm.  If you would like to hear more about UTC and tour the campus, register on-line at www.utc.edu before November 1.

Beta Club members:  If you are planning to attend the state convention, your $25 deposit is due on Friday.  Please pay Mrs. Fox in G112.

Today’s club meetings are:  TSA-CT104, Key Club-Media Center, and FCCLA-auditorium.

On Thursday, FCA will meet during CCRT in the Media Center. Michael DelBonis will be the guest speaker. For passes, please see Coach Smith, Mr. Jackson, or Ms. Dillard.

Oak Grove Elementary is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival on Saturday, November 1 from 2:00-5:00pm and Hopewell Elementary is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival on November 8 from 11:00am-2:00pm.  If you would like to earn service hours, come by and sign up with Mrs. Black in the main office.

Today and tomorrow, October 22nd & 23rd, there will be a help session for anyone trying out for the musical, during CCRT. A signup sheet will be on the choir room door after today’s practice. Please sign up for a time if you are planning on auditioning.  You need to get a CCRT pass from Mrs. Oran, Mrs. Hunt, or Mrs. Barnes, or one of the band directors.

Volley For A Cure t-shirts will be on sale for $5.00 this week in the cafeteria.

Seniors! November 1st is the application deadline for TN Promise. You can apply at www.tnpromise.gov.

If you purchased a yearbook last year and would like a supplement, please come to G110 before or after class to pick one up.

Any senior who would like their baby picture in the yearbook, they are due by October 31st.  Also, senior quotes are due October 31st to Mrs. Gober in G110.

Yearbooks are now on sale. See flyers throughout the school for details. Order yours now!

10th and 11th grade students interested in applying for Governor’s School this Summer need to stop by Guidance to see Ms. McClanahan or Mrs. Akiona by Nov. 14.   Students may go to this website  http://tn.gov/education/govschools/  to print off an application.  All of these have a postmark date of Dec. 6 and they must be returned to Guidance to be mailed from here by this date.  Areas available are:  School for Agricultural Science (postmark date 12/1/14), School for Business and IT Leadership, School for Computational Physics, School for Emerging Technologies, School for Engineering, School for Humanities, School for International Studies, School for Prospective Teachers, School for the Sciences, School for Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage, and School for Scientific Models and Data Analysis.

The date for all Oceanography Club applications, references and fees has been extended to Tuesday, October 28th.  If you missed the first meeting and you need a packet, see Mrs. Swafford in B214.

If you have a veteran in your life you would like to honor at a Veteran’s Day luncheon, please see Ms. Pickens in CL5 or come by the table in the cafeteria.
