There will be a FBLA meeting on Tuesday in the Media Center.

The Junior Civitan club is collecting soft drink tabs to support our local Ronald McDonald House at Chattanooga.  There is a collection can in the main office.  Please help us support families of children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Cover2Cover Book Club meets in the Media Center and SkillsUSA meets in CL6 today during CCRT.

If you haven’t picked up your report card and grade portal information, please come by the Guidance office to pick it up.

Girls basketball tryouts will be today after school.

This Friday, there is a Midnight Praise Party at the Omega Center International from 11:59pm-2:00am.  Catherine Mullins and the Ramp Band will be featured and cost is $5.00 at the door.  For more information, pick up a flyer in the main office.

Mu Alpha Theta dues are due this Friday, October 31st.  You can turn these in to Mrs. Scarbrough or Mrs. Fugate.

FFA parliamentary procedures will practice today during CCRT in Mr. Kincaid’s room.  FFA opening and closing practice will be tomorrow in Mr. Kincaid’s room during CCRT.

Boys basketball tryouts will be tonight from 6:00-8:00pm.

School picture retakes will be this Wednesday, October 29th.  These are prepaid.  Envelopes can be picked up in the main office or G110.  You will not be allowed out of class without envelope and money.  Also, on the 29th the seniors will be taking the 2015 picture at 10:15am on the football field.

Attention Seniors, UTC is hosting a Fall Visit Day Saturday, November 1 from 9:30am-2:00pm.  If you would like to hear more about UTC and tour the campus, register on-line at before November 1.

Want to have fun during CCRT?  Then come and play Cribbage-cribbage is a card game from the 1700’s that requires strategy and logic to be victorious and only takes about 20 minutes to play.  The next club meeting is tomorrow, October 28 in the main office.  See Mr. Mehling in G106 for a CCRT pass.  No prior experience necessary…

Oak Grove Elementary is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival this Saturday, November 1 from 2:00-5:00pm and Hopewell Elementary is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival on November 8 from 11:00am-2:00pm.  If you would like to earn service hours, come by and sign up with Mrs. Black in the main office.

If you purchased a yearbook last year and would like a supplement, please come to G110 before or after class to pick one up.

Any senior who would like their baby picture in the yearbook, they are due by October 31st.  Also, senior quotes are due October 31st to Mrs. Gober in G110.

10th and 11th grade students interested in applying for Governor’s School this Summer need to stop by Guidance to see Ms. McClanahan or Mrs. Akiona by Nov. 14.   Students may go to this website  to print off an application.  All of these have a postmark date of Dec. 6 and they must be returned to Guidance to be mailed from here by this date.  Areas available are:  School for Agricultural Science (postmark date 12/1/14), School for Business and IT Leadership, School for Computational Physics, School for Emerging Technologies, School for Engineering, School for Humanities, School for International Studies, School for Prospective Teachers, School for the Sciences, School for Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage, and School for Scientific Models and Data Analysis.

The date for all Oceanography Club applications, references and fees has been extended to tomorrow, October 28th.  If you missed the first meeting and you need a packet, see Mrs. Swafford in B214.
