The Junior Civitan club is collecting soft drink tabs to support our local Ronald McDonald House at Chattanooga.  There is a collection can in the main office.  Please help us support families of children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Students and Faculty, make sure to bring diapers to the main office for the Diaper Love Drive.  Service hours will be given for each package of diapers donated.  See Key Club officers for details.

Attention seniors: A representative from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will be here to give you some information on Wednesday, November 5.  If you are interested in hearing about UTC, please sign up for this visit and get a pass in Guidance by the end of the day Tuesday, November 4.

There will be a work-based learning meeting today at 1:30pm in the auditorium.  Bring your pay stub, cell phone number and email address when you come to the meeting.

Next week is Key Club Week!  Make sure to stay after school Monday to tie-dye your official club t-shirt.  Shirts are free!  See a Key Club officer for more information.

U.S. Senator Bob Corker and Miss Tennessee are coming to speak at next Wednesday’s Key Club Day.  Clubs that want to attend need to turn in their forms and fees to Mr. Hood TODAY.

Students interested in joining Key Club can get an application from Mr. Hood in B211.  Applications and dues are due by November 14.

Creative Writing club will meet this afternoon in G111 from 3:30-4:30. Bring your drafts.

The deadline for Junior Civitan Club Members to pay dues to remain in the club is TODAY.

Tonight, there is a Midnight Praise Party at the Omega Center International from 11:59pm-2:00am.  Catherine Mullins and the Ramp Band will be featured and cost is $5.00 at the door.  For more information, pick up a flyer in the main office.

Mu Alpha Theta dues are due TODAY.  You can turn these in to Mrs. Scarbrough or Mrs. Fugate.

Attention Seniors, UTC is hosting a Fall Visit Day tomorrow, November 1 from 9:30am-2:00pm.  If you would like to hear more about UTC and tour the campus, register on-line at www.utc.edu before November 1.

Hopewell Elementary is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival on November 8 from 11:00am-2:00pm.  If you would like to earn service hours, come by and sign up with Mrs. Black in the main office.

Seniors! Tomorrow, November 1st is the application deadline for TN Promise. You can apply at www.tnpromise.gov.

Today is the deadline for any senior who would like their baby picture in the yearbook.  Also, senior quotes are due today to Mrs. Gober in G110 as well.

Yearbooks are now on sale. See flyers throughout the school for details. Order yours now!

10th and 11th grade students interested in applying for Governor’s School this Summer need to stop by Guidance to see Ms. McClanahan or Mrs. Akiona by Nov. 14.   Students may go to this website  http://tn.gov/education/govschools/  to print off an application.  All of these have a postmark date of Dec. 6 and they must be returned to Guidance to be mailed from here by this date.  Areas available are:  School for Agricultural Science (postmark date 12/1/14), School for Business and IT Leadership, School for Computational Physics, School for Emerging Technologies, School for Engineering, School for Humanities, School for International Studies, School for Prospective Teachers, School for the Sciences, School for Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage, and School for Scientific Models and Data Analysis.
