The Junior Civitan club is collecting soft drink tabs to support our local Ronald McDonald House at Chattanooga. There is a collection can in the main office. Please help us support families of children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

This is just a reminder that the NHS Food Drive is continuing through Thursday (Nov. 13) of this week! There has already been a good response, so if your turkey is still naked…and you want a free breakfast and sub-for-a-day…you need to get those turkeys feathered as soon as possible! Remember: 1 can/$.50 = 1 feather! Don’t let your turkey be cold, get him dressed!

You MUST check in with her prior to getting on the bus. If you have a permission form that needed to be signed, please remember to bring that and also, please be in the appropriate dress code. You will NOT be allowed to go if you fail to meet this criteria

Walker Valley is having a winter clothing drive during the month of November. Bring your new or gently used coats, jackets, hats and other warm attire. Drop off boxes are located in the main office, media center, gym, and cafeteria. Items brought in will be taken to the Homeless Shelter.
Students and Faculty, make sure to bring diapers to the main office for the Diaper Love Drive. Service hours will be given for each package of diapers donated. See Key Club officers for details.

10th and 11th grade students interested in applying for Governor’s School this summer need to stop by Guidance to see Ms. McClanahan or Mrs. Akiona by Nov. 14. Students may go to this website http://tn.gov/education/govschools/ to print off an application. All of these have a postmark date of Dec. 6 and they must be returned to Guidance to be mailed from here by this date. Areas available are: School for Agricultural Science (postmark date 12/1/14), School for Business and IT Leadership, School for Computational Physics, School for Emerging Technologies, School for Engineering, School for Humanities, School for International Studies, School for Prospective Teachers, School for the Sciences, School for Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage, and School for Scientific Models and Data Analysis.
