Today’s Announcements – November 14, 2014


Attention boys ages 14-18, if you are interested in playing on a traveling basketball team at the Boys and Girls Club, tryouts are Monday, November 17 at 5:00pm at the Boys and Girls Club on Third Street.

Junior Civitan Club Members…remember to meet at Bi-Lo at Ocoee Crossing on Saturday from 10 – 2 for the Food Drive.

Become a Moc in a minute!  If you are interested in attending UTC, but haven’t applied yet, there is an event on Tuesday, November 18 at the University Center on UTC’s campus from 4:30-7:30 where you can get admitted to UTC on the spot if you take all of your application materials and meet their admissions requirements.  Please see Mrs. DelBonis in Guidance if you have any questions!

Support the Ronald McDonald House and bring your soft drink tabs!

This weekend is going to be cold, so save on your parent’s electric bill by warming yourself with Walker Valley’s A Christmas Carol November 13-15 and November 22-22! Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Be there or bah humbug!

Key Club meets next Tuesday, November 18 during CCRT in the Media Center. Ice cream provided -bring friends! See Mr. Hood in B211 for a pass.

Beta Club members:  Please continue to turn in toothpaste donations for Mercy Ministries and remember that Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes are due by November 21.

The Blue and Gold wrestling match is today during activity schedule. Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria or G113. Come support the wrestling team!

Extra! Extra! Hear all about it!  The Drama Club is sponsoring a trip to the Fox Theater in Atlanta to see Newsies on January 25. Tickets are limited and will go fast!  Bring $65 (tickets + transportation) to Mrs. Wright in CL3 ASAP. First come; first served.  Hurry!

Walker Valley is having a winter clothing drive during the month of November.  Bring your new or gently used coats, jackets, hats and other warm attire.  Drop off boxes are located in the main office, media center, gym, and cafeteria.  Items brought in will be taken to the Homeless Shelter.

Key Club applications and dues need to be turned in to Mr. Hood in B211 today!
