The Special Olympics event is this Saturday at 9:00 am. Students are not required to be a member of a club to volunteer. Seniors, this is a great way to earn your service hours for TN Promise. See Mrs. Hammer in Special Services to sign up.
Any Drama Club member interested in running for an officer position next year needs to see Mrs. Wright this week.
Next Wednesday, April 22, there will be an important meeting for all seniors at 9:45am in the auditorium.
This year’s prom theme “A Touch of Class” is in honor of our great seniors who have showed class all year. The prom will be Saturday, May 2, at the Chattanooga Convention Center from 7:30-11:30 pm. The best prom t-shirt ever will be given with the purchase of a ticket while supplies last. The cost is $40 per ticket and they will be on sale in the cafeteria April 28-May 1. If your date does not attend Walker Valley, be sure and have a date approval from signed by Mr. Coggin before purchasing tickets.
This is a reminder that if you have 10 unexcused absences this year, including suspensions, you will not be able to attend prom. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cretton in the attendance office.
Any FFA member interested in being an officer for next year, please come by CT105 and get an application.
The Science Club and SGA will be planting trees this Saturday from 12-2pm. If you would like to earn service hours, come help us plant.
The student Talent Show will be tomorrow during activity schedule. Tickets are $2.00 and will be sold in the cafeteria.
If you are interested in running for SGA next year, beginning this Friday applications will be available in Ms. Pickens room, CL5.
Seniors, the Colby Stansberry Memorial Scholarship, Dustin Ledford Memorial “Live Wide Open” Scholarship and Chelsea Chastain Memorial Scholarship are due tomorrow. These scholarships will select a Walker Valley senior, so it is recommended that you apply! Applications can be downloaded from the Scholarship Calendar on the Walker Valley High website.
Attention Freshmen interested in taking Honors classes next year: You may pick up an application in the Guidance office. The application is due back to Guidance on April 30th.
