Today’s Announcements – August 24, 2015


Walker Valley Spirit Night at Stevie B’s Pizza this Thursday, August 27. Show up and let them know you are with Walker Valley to support the school!  Eat pizza and support the Mustangs!

Any female student who is interested in being a part of Anchor Club may pick up an application in the media center.  Applications are due back by September 2.

If you are a junior or senior, and are interested in an internship at Cormetech, the applications are now available in guidance.  The deadline for returning your completed application is the end of the day on September 4th.

Students interested in the Speech and Debate Team should plan to attend a meeting today, August 24 in G107, Mrs. Manning’s room, from 3:30-4:30.

Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team for getting to GOLD tournament this weekend and coming in 9th out of 40 teams in the State.  The highlight was beating Ooltewah in 2 games.  Also, the JV won 3rd place and had a great weekend at Early Bird Tournament as well as the Varsity.  We will be playing at home tomorrow at 5 for JV and 6 for Varsity against East Hamilton.  Everyone come out and support the Lady Mustangs.

The WV SportsZone returns to Talk 101.3 The Buzz tonight beginning at 6:30.  Stay up to date on all your WV sports news LIVE every Monday night on the WV SportsZone.

Coach Dillon’s WBL meeting scheduled for today has been moved to Wednesday during fourth block in BU1.

Congratulations to the Lady Mustangs soccer team for their 8-0 win over Mcminn central. Come out and support them tonight at 5:30 as they take on Polk County.
