Movie Trailer Project Online Evaluation

AV Production I Students:

Please answer the following questions.  Students must answer all questions in complete sentences and use broadcasting vocabulary.  Please use an email address that you currently use.  – Coach Webb

  1. Describe the mood of your trailer.  What are ways you conveyed the mood of the trailer?
  2. Who is the target audience for your movie? Why would you consider audience when producing a trailer?
  3. How did pacing effect your trailer? What ways did you manipulate pacing/time?
  4. What was the most difficult part of the shooting and editing phase? How difficult was it to mimic the original trailer?

    3. We used pacing to effect our trailer by having a bunch of jump cuts. This makes the trailer have more energy.
    4. We had no problem mimicking the trailer because it was a trailer with very easy effects.

  5. 1. Funny, Joyous, Cheerfull. we conveyed this certain type of mood by by acting funny ETC.
    2. Our target audiance is kids, adults who never grew up, and edgy teenagers.
    3.Our pacing was quick, the type of enviornment kids tend to enjoy filled with excitement.
    4.Our trailer was on the simpiler side to manipulate, our trailer was not to long either, nor did we use any extreme editing effects, so the editing fase was fairly simple.

  6. 1.The mood is suppose to be an uplifting, enjoyable and funny trailer. We conveyed our mood buy two girls jumping around and making”fart” noises and just having fun.
    2.The target audience is mainly little kids, but it is for basically anyone who wants a good laugh. You need to consider an audience so that you will know who will enjoy the movie and how you will convey the theme of it.
    3.The pacing was at a fast speed, so that it can get you on your feet and you will have excitement.
    Our video does not include pacing.
    4.The green screen would have been the most difficult part of editing.The most difficult part of shooting was most likely trying to get the actresses to stay calm according to what they had to do. The mimicking of the movie was not really hard at all. It was very easy.

  7. 1. The mood was fun and joyful. The ways we showed the mood was showing a girl joking around and “making fun” of the other girl.
    2. The target audience was anybody. Kids all the way to adulthood can watch this movie. You consider audience because you have a set theme and know exactly how to rate the movie, and what should be in it.
    3. The pacing was quick, therefore it will show the excitement for the movie to come. We didn’t use anything to manipulate pacing and time.
    4. The most difficult part of the shooting and editing phase was not laughing when you wasn’t supposed to, and getting the green screen to work correctly. The difficulty level of mimicking the the original trailer wasn’t hard at all.

  8. 1. The mood of our trailer was and erie/ creepy, and we showed this though making it black and white and adding creepy music.
    2. The target audience was people 13 years and older. This is important to know to we could appeal to those people.
    3. Pacing effected our trailer because, since it started slow and sped up, it added to the creepy factor. We manipulated time by cutting to different scenes in the movie.
    4. The most difficult part of the project was shooting scenes similar to the actual trailer. Mimicking the trailer proved difficult due to the fact that we didn’t have the same set as the actual trailer.

  11. 1.) Our trailer was scary and tense. We recreated this by making it look like Amanda had been crying and getting her to try to sound like the girl in the trailer as best we could in parts where she was scared.
    2.) Our target audience would be people who like horror movies or found footage films. Depending on your audience you can decide how to compose the trailer. It can be intense or eerie if thats what your audience is looking for.
    3,) It was hard to get things the exact speed they were in the original trailer so we had to speed a lot of the footage up to get the same look.
    4.) The hardest part of the shooting phase was getting the acting to seem realistic. The hardest part of the editing phase was figuring out how to get the colors to look the same. It wasn’t hard to mimic the trailer because it was relatively easy.
