PreScheduler Back Side Revised

Links list above will take you to the pre-registration forms for the 2016-2017 school year (in a pdf format). These forms will list, according to a student’s academy, the courses (including class period and semester) that will be available for students beginning in August of 2016. On Wednesday (January 20th), all current 10th and 11th grade students will be filling out these forms to register for classes next school year. The back of each form is the same for each academy and will help students identify the flow and organization of their schedule (this form is also linked above). These forms will be the basis of a conversation between the student and a guidance counselor in the months of February or March, at which time the student’s exact schedule will be created. The intention is that all finalized schedules will go home with students in May of this year along with their final report card.

9th grade students will be registering for their classes after our Academy Night, which is a freshman-only event on February 4th at 6:30 p.m. On that evening, parents and students will be given the opportunity to:

1. Hear a 15 minute presentation from each of the 3 academies detailing their unique learning styles, variations of assessments, and the individualized programs of study which prepare students for future careers.

2. Meet the Academy principals and a few teachers

3. View several of the Career-Tech offerings from each of the academies

4. Have an opportunity to choose their career academy and submit the pre-registration form. (This will give the student early access to a guidance counselor to help solidify his/her class schedule for the 2016-2017 school year).
