The ASVAB has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 9. If you signed up to take this test, you must be in the Media Center no later than 8:15 a.m. on March 9.

Anyone interested in attending a performance of The Phantom of the Opera in Nashville on March 13 needs to see Mrs. Wright in CL3 ASAP. Tickets and transportation are included in the $55.00 price.
Circle of Champions registration is now open. Students, you may apply on the Walker Valley website or the Spill App. Registration closes March 11. Please remember, you must turn in your service hour log to Guidance by March 11 as well. In order for the application to be valid, the service hour log must be turned in.
If you have had 2 marketing or business courses and are interested in one of your classes being the new school store next year, pick up a store application from your marketing or business teacher. Return completed forms to Mrs. DelBonis in the Guidance Office BEFORE YOU REGISTER for classes.
New or gently used books appropriate for ages 0-12 are needed for the Bradley County Schools Read20 Book Drive. Please bring your items to the book drop box located in the media center before March 11, 2016. These books will be donated to pre-school and elementary students during various Read20 events throughout the year. Thanks in advance for you help!
The next Walker Valley Hiking Club trip will be Sunday, April 3rd – Monday, April 4th. This is an overnight hiking and camping trip. The hike is 8.5 miles and is strenuous. Make sure that you are in great shape and enjoy long hikes if you are thinking about this trip. In addition to reaching the summit of blood mountain, students will learn about ecotourism in Blue Ridge, the history and conservation of the Appalachian Trail, and some important bear awareness tips for camping and hiking. Get your permission slips from Ms. Tipton (B206) or Coach Shrestha (G115) starting Monday, Feb 29th. There are only 40 spots available for this trip. The deadline for permission slips and money is March 21st.
The deadline to receive a $100 early enrollment discount on next summer’s trip to Spain, Portugal and France is Thursday, March 3rd. Students must enroll before this date to be eligible for this discount. You can enroll from the tour website or by calling customer service. Please see Mrs. Picchiottino for details. The first 10 to enroll before March 3rd will also be entered into a raffle to win a $100 Amazon gift card. The winner will be announced after March 3rd.
The Colby Stansberry “Heart of a Champion” Challenge 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney is Saturday, March 12 at Cleveland Middle School. This challenge raises money for scholarships that are given out to each area high school. See Mrs. Black for a registration form.
This year’s prom will be held Saturday, April 30, at the Convention Center in Chattanooga. If you are interested in a free prom dress, shoes, suit or any other prom attire, the “Prom Shop” will be open on March 19 for you to shop for free.
